GIGS THAT I'VE ATTENDED - 1997
Any links on this page lead to reviews, memories, ticket stubs, photographs and other memorabilia from my collection.
The idea is to have a page for each concert eventually - when I find time to trawl trough the archives.
If anyone reading this was at any of these concerts and would like to jog my memory then feel free to contact me.

Paul RODGERS  <1>
[alt, diff show: Phil Teague]
Portsmouth Guildhall
14/02/97
£12.00 Almost a year to the day I was back in Portmouth to see a rock legend. Not Deep Purple but an almost Deep Purple vocalist, Paul Rodgers. Powerful show and he still had a great voice.
DIO  <5> London Astoria
23/03/97
£10.00 .
URIAH HEEP London Astoria 2
23/04/97
£10.00

This was the middle of three UK shows the others being:
Apr 22 - Dudley JB's, , Apr 24 - StokeThe Wheatsheaf
*Set List (from Stoke show): Universal Wheels / Time Of Revelation / Stealin / Rainbow Demon / Mistress Of All Time / Words InThe Distance / The Wizard / Dream On / Love In Silence / The Other Side Of Midnight / July Morning / Gypsy / Look At Yourself / Bird Of Prey / Lady In Black / Easy Livin.

Paul RODGERS  <2> London Royal Albert Hall
5/05/97
£16.00 Not as good a show as a few months earlier.
MARILLION  <14> London Shepherds Bush Empire
13/05/97
£14.00 .
JETHRO TULL  <13> London, Beck Theatre
31/05/97
£15.00 The quality of Ian Anderson's vocals was so good I decided against going to the Guildford Festival a few weeks later - and it was much closer to home than the Beck Theatre.
AEROSMITH

London Wembley Arena
'The Nine Lives Tour'

4/06/97
£17.50 Stuck almost at the back of the Arena I may as well have been watching from outside. Not a very inspiring show was the verdict.
FISH  <19>
[alt, diff show: Phil Teague]
London Shepherds Bush Empire
12/06/97
£11.50 .
DEEP PURPLE  <34>
tba
ELP  <3>
Bruce DICKINSON
THUNDER  <5>
STEPPENWOLF  <1>
DREIST  <1>
Lahr Daytona Festival, Germany
06/07/97
£ My first overseas DP show and I finally got to thank Bruce for posing for the photo at the Helloween gig. Why don't they have a bill like this in the UK any more?
WOLFSTONE  <10> Elgin Leisure Centre Ice Rink
30/07/97
£12.00 .
David Coverdale WHITESNAKE Southampton Mayflower Theatre
30/11/97
£16.00 I missed the first few songs due to getting lost leaving Basingstoke. What I did see was much better than the late 80's version of the band, David playing requests.
WOLFSTONE  <11> Inverness
31/12/97
free Possibly Ivan Devers final gig with the band in an icily cold Inverness park.
