These pages
are the first ones I created for this whole gig review site. Much
of the material used here was moved over onto the official John Young
site ( http://youngjohn.co.uk/ )
during the summer of 2000. Since then I have helped maintain that
site and a lot of the reviews I would have used for this site appear
there. ILinks on a place/venue are to reviews on this site. Links
on a date should open another window to a review on the above site.
Some may have both and in that case the one on this site and will
be an expanded version of the youngjohn
one.
Though not a
household name John has played with some impressive people, John Wetton,
Carl Palmer, Paul Rodgers, Uli Jon Roth and Bonnie Tyler to name but
a few. He has helped write songs for Max Bacon, John Wetton, Asia
and QANGO (his current
band project).
The big news

As well as playing
solo shows John was also a member of QANGO
(with Carl Palmer and John Wetton) and Fish (on the Fellini Days album
and tour). He is also second keyboard player and vocalist with the
reformed GREENSLADE.
